Flying Tigers
The 1st American Volunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force in 1941–1942, nicknamed the Flying Tigers, was composed of pilots from the United States Army (USAAF), Navy (USN), and Marine Corps (USMC), recruited under presidential authority and commanded by Claire Lee Chennault.
Giving honor to the great American pilots who helped save China from the Japanese during WWII, the Flying Tigers television show is a completely unique, international, reality-adventure series that will focus on the life experiences of 8 Chinese students (4 men and 4 women ages 18-29) who travel from Beijing to Louisiana to begin 3 months of intensive flight training to become pilots.
The program will showcase the country of China and the Chinese people to the entire world. The show will also explore the cultural differences, group dynamics, and personal accomplishments of the Chinese students as they enter a new world and overcome great obstacles to become proficient and successful pilots.
